How Does It Work?
Our Safety Assessment process is designed to be collaborative, supportive, and tailored to each setting:

Initial Consultation
YSW staff meet with school or college leadership to understand any known concerns, current safeguarding procedures, and specific areas of focus. -
Staff Engagement
We hold discussions with teaching and support staff to gather professional insights, understand staff experiences, and identify gaps in safety perception or reporting. -
Student Sessions
Using age-appropriate and engagement-focused methods, we run interactive sessions with students to explore their concerns and hear directly what would help them feel safer. These sessions are designed to build trust and promote open, honest communication. -
Bespoke Workshops
Based on feedback, we design and deliver tailored safety workshops that not only address specific concerns but also equip students with practical skills, awareness, and confidence to manage safety issues and seek support when needed. -
Reporting & Feedback
A clear and constructive feedback report is shared with the institution, summarising key findings and offering actionable recommendations. Where appropriate, we can also support the development of improved reporting and response systems. -
Facilitated Meetings
If needed, YSW can mediate a follow-up session between staff and students to collaboratively identify positive changes and ensure student voices shape future safety strategies.

Pricing
We offer two flexible options depending on your needs:

Full Safety Assessment Package – £350
Includes the complete process outlined above: consultation, staff and student engagement, bespoke workshops, final report, and optional follow-up facilitation.

Consultancy Only – £50 per hour
If you don’t require the full assessment, we also offer hourly consultancy to advise on specific safety concerns or areas where you'd like expert input.
